On average, central heating provides 40% more efficiency

The initial outlay for installing underfloor heating using a natural gas fired system is less expensive than you think and can cost as little as $10,000 for an area of 110sqm.

According to Consumer NZ it costs between 6c and 12c per kWh for central heating using natural gas and roughly the same for heat pumps using electricity.

With radiant floor heating, the floor slab and all the objects in the room are heated which means energy is retained for much, much longer. Consequently running costs are up to 40% less than forced air central heating systems. Radiant floor heating just makes sense!
